About Us

Billboard Property Group is a full service billboard lease acquisition company, focused on growing a portfolio of diversified billboard leases from property owners who have billboard advertising structures on their properties.
We buy leases on a perpetual easement basis and pay fair market prices, thereby creating an opportunity for property owners to sell their non-core billboard lease assets at top value, and reallocate their capital.

Personal support, valuable information and superior value. Our principals have been involved in all aspects of the leasing, developing, operating, and ownership side of the outdoor advertising business. Our principals also have vast commercial real estate transactional experience and knowledge, which enables us to negotiate, underwrite and close our transactions in an efficient and expeditious manner.

Billboard Property Group, itself a billboard landlord, and its founders are true experts in the billboard industry,
and have brought their breadth of experience to the often overlooked and fragmented group of billboard
property owners.

Mark Van Fossan

Mr. Van Fossan graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1982 from Boston College, then went to work on Wall Street with Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb before moving to Paine Weber to work in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions for the media group. In 1986, Mr. Van Fossan joined the leverage buyout team at Patrick Media.  Mr. Van Fossan was initially the head of Real Estate and Corporate Development overseeing approximately 45,000 leases for Patrick Media. Mr. Van Fossan was promoted to President and COO of Patrick Media, and ran Patrick Media from 1989 through 1991 before leaving to become an entrepreneur. Since 1991, Mr. Van Fossan has funded start-ups and acquired media companies throughout the US, Europe and Japan.  Mr. Van Fossan now holds investments in a dozen outdoor media companies.

Greg Silvershein

Greg Silvershein has been a real estate developer for over 23 years.  During that time period, he has developed, owned and operated office, industrial and retail properties of over 25 separate buildings in six states with a combined square footage of roughly 3,000,000 square feet.  Between 2002-2006, Mr. Silvershein made a fundamental decision to exit the real estate acquisition business and divested all but a 400,000 square foot, single tenant net leased property.  For the past 14 years he has also been an entrepreneur in the out-of-home (OOH) advertising industry.  During that time period, he has funded and helped oversee the start-up and development of a half dozen OOH media companies in the US through Amherst Media Investors, a regional operator of bus shelter and wall mural advertising businesses. Mr. Silvershein has recently been instrumental in the acquisition of a 27 site easement portfolio representing all bulletin sites on Exxon Mobil fee owned properties.

Mark Eisenthal

Mark Eisenthal is a seasoned out-of-home (“OOH”) advertising veteran of more than 30 years, with primary experience in asset development, asset management and general management.  He began his career with Foster & Kleiser in Southern California in 1977, and managed a development team responsible for the construction of over 1,000 billboards, along with the management of over 10,000 leaseholds.  When Patrick Media purchased Foster & Kleiser in 1986, he moved to Ohio to manage their billboard real estate department, before being promoted to Assistant Vice President of Real Estate in 1987 to help oversee the nationwide 45,000 nationwide billboard leasehold inventory.  In 1990, he became part of a founding group who launched Pacific Media KK, which developed into the largest OOH company in Japan by the mid-90’s.  From 1995, he became a partner with Van Fossan and Silvershein, who collectively have been involved in a number of outdoor advertising ventures.
